Tim Bradley....A prime example of a fighter with a lot of heart and guts that interrupts his focus and loss of awareness in the ring. Just a matter of time before he gets really damaged. He got blasted by Provodnikov and hasn't been right since. Has anyone else noticed? Let's dicuss
He tries to make his fights entertaining for the UFC fans:nut his ko power is a joke but his willingness to fight toe to toe at time is entertaining. I think it's funny how he talked **** about Thurman and then gets a (robbery) draw against a guy that at best is a solid contender for the years to come. He did beat Marquez after Provo btw. Imo, he still deserves to be mentioned as elite but will not come out on top. I'm still picking Bradley to outbox Canelo if that fight actually materializes.
Bradley's problem is that he doesn't fight his fight. He needs to stop trying to excite the fans and stick to what he's good at.
So you're just going to pretend like Bradley-Marquez never happened? Didn't Bradley just dominate Chaves about a month ago or did that never happen also?
Bradley clearly dominated from the opening bell. Chaves won three out of twelve rounds. Peterson, Vazquez and Abregu were all dominated by Bradley as well. He's had a few close calls in his career, but who hasn't?
:good Bradley-Marquez might be the most forgotten win over a P4P fighter I've seen. People just pretend the fight itself never even happened.
Signing to Bob kickstarted the end of Bradley The Pacquiao fight gave him a bad mentality...already had cracks beforehand which Joel managed well but now he just goes b@lls to the wall whenever he fights instead of calmly executing (like he did with Marquez) I had him doing a great job in the second Pacquiao fight for them first 4 rounds...then something clicked and Timothy starting giving it away for no reason...maybe was getting tired or thought Pacquiao was edging him every round? when really he wasn't...
What has changed is that he knows there is pressure on him to stand in and fight, as opposed to using his boxing skills to easily outbox guys. He has done it several fights now. Stopped boxing against Pac and started swinging for the fences. Stood in with Provodnikov instead of boxing the whole way. Stood in with Chaves instead of boxing the whole way. He isn't as good when he stands in. He is much better when he boxes and moves.
I've followed Bradley a long time...truth is he's just got too much dog in him. He likes to trade and maul guys. It's the boxing and moving for 12 rounds fight in, fight out that is somewhat of a chore for him, which is unfortunate because he's good at that, too. He reminds me a bit of Holyfield. Jack of all trades, but he's rarely shy about going to war even if he's outgunned and it's not in his best interest.
Ever since I first watched Bradley in the Witter fight seemed to me he likes to go toe to toe and box.
I think he rebounded fine (better then I thought he would to be honest) He outboxed JMM and looked fantastic, and should have gotten the UD against Chavez, a fighter nobody really looks good against.
look at bradley's record....he's got one of the most impressive resume's in boxing today. wins over witter, casamayor, holt, campbell, peterson, alexander, provodnikov, pacquiao, marquez...he's a hall of famer for sure. the chaves fight was a bad night for him, but he still won handily against a very dangerous and underrated fighter.
Provodnikov beat the **** out of Bradley. Bradley was damaged by that fight, not the same fighter..............
