Provodnikov puts up heroic effort in Matthysse bout

Provodnikov showed a great heart, strength, and fitness. But, no adaptability or defence.Mathysse could not miss him, it's a tribute to the Russian's toughness that he made the final bell because Mathysse is a real banger. It was a great war but Mathysse won it by several rounds ,the scorecards were ridiculous. Many more big fights? Possibly but many more like that one will be radically career shortening ones.

 

Ruslan is always in exciting fights, think he could do with a new trainer though, Roach is obviously a great trainer but don't think he likely has the time needed to improve Provodnikov skills while also working with bigger stars in Cotto and Pacquaio.
