Matthysse beats them all as long as he can handle 147

Says a lot about Garcia's chin if true. Not sure just how tough Prov's chin is, has he ever been hurt? Didn't see Alvarado hurt him once and he's a pretty big puncher.

Alvarado as we seen in his last fight is a bit overrated imo but yes Garcia has a good chin even tho Matthysse connect percentage was down in that fight because of the eye injury

That's the thing though Rios was beating up LW's, Maidana has been in with stronger guys so saying he can't take Rios punch again is backwards you use Provodnikov as an example saying him arguably beating Bradley is > Maidana by that token wouldn't Maidana arguably beating Mayweather which is what people are saying be over Provo-Brad?

Outside of Rios fighting Pacquiao Maidana has been in with bigger punchers than alll three

It's debatable. All I know is that all 3 would beat the **** outta Rios.

After his last 5 performances people are still doubting Maidana? The guys is a very good fighter who is actually getting better. Did you not see the jab he had in the floyd fight? One so good and strong even floyd said he was impressed by it? Id favor maidana to win the tourney.

Fair points. Though I would argue that Rios has shown he can move up in weight well, given his TKO over Alvarado and his chin withstanding Pacquiao, so he proved his power and chin at 140/147 already. Maidana pushing Mayweather may have more to do with styles than level of fighter they are, Floyd just dont like unpredictable styles. Although same could be said for Prov-Bradley, where Prov did better than he should have because Bradley fought a silly fight at start.

I also maintain that my post above still proves that Alvrado/Rios/Mathysee/Maidana are all in or around the same levels, cos they are beating each other and common opponents. Fighters a level above them isnt losing to any of them or their common opponents.

You think there's gonna be a jabbing contest with these 4 guys? Check the Maidana-Rios sparring vid above, thats basically a preview of how the fight will play out.

Pacquiao hasn't hurt anybody in years and Alvarado is really a nobody so that doesn't prove much Maidana has shown through level of comp he's on a higher level than Rios & Provodnikov at least Matthysse is closer because he's been in with a few top level guys at JWW imo Maidana-Matthysse is the closest fight. In total Rios & Ruslan have been in with two top level guys Maidana has had two top level opponent's in the last 6 month's he's consistently fighting in the highest level between the three I mean Ruslan got swollen up by light hitting Bradley but he's tougher than Maidana I don't see it

Alvarado has wins over Prescott, Rios & Hererra. Same Herrera that beat Provodnikov & Garcia who beat Mathysee. Who has Maidana beaten of these top level opponents? Ortiz is garbage...who KD Maidana 3 times. Lopez? lol even he nearly had Maidana out. His best win is Broner ffs. You mention Prov got swollen up by Bradley as proof Maidana is tougher, newsflash, a shot to pieces Morales 4 weight divisions above his prime had Maidana on ***** street. Even Broner hurt him at points. Maidana's chin has always been suspect, he's been hurt and KD more times than I can remember. Has Provodnikov even been dropped?

And Pacquiao hasn't hurt anyone in years? He hurt Bradley in his last fight. He knocked JMM down in their last fight. He knocked Mosley down. He broke Margarito's orbital bone, Clottey was too scared to open up and he stopped Cotto before that. The question is, who HASNT he hurt in recent years? Hurt is different from stoppage.

Danny wipes all of them out.

If no Danny, then Maidana or Provodnikov easy.

Whoever thinks Matthysse would win this DKSAB!
