I think Prov would be a good step up for Thurman. It would tell us how he does when he fights someone who can take his power, and how he does against relentless pressure. He'd need to improve his defense, because Prov can bang as well.

Lastly, it would be an exciting fight.

I agree it would be a great match, but like so many of them out there, it's never going to happen.

Would be a good fight Provodnikov definitely has a punchers chance but dont think he can take Thurman's punches

Thurman could land body punches at will against him

Two different promotional companies and two different networks.

    Not going to happen.

Prov is not a step up for Thurman, it the opposite. Having said that, Thurman knocks Prov out because he is too easy to hit.

Thurman has school a no-skill power puncher before in Zaveck. I'm not saying Zaveck is better than Provo, but we've seen him get backed off by Bradley's punches... What do you think Thurman would do?

Ruslan is the epitome of a pressure fighter. Maybe doesn't throw a hundred punches a round but he puts tremendous pressure on guys both mentally and physically. He has every bit of power that thurman has and he throws much shorter and more calculated punches. He doesn't take a step back and seeing how thurman reacts to that kind of pressure doesn't make me think he could stand up to ruslan. The level of opposition alone woukd support provodnikov. Does anyone think thurman could get a glove on bradley? Has thurman fought anyone skilled as Herrera? Or as solid as alvarado? Get off this guys nuts. He still ain't did ****. Certainly nothing to make me think he could beat provodnikov. Zavick sucks. N it sounds as if your saying ruslan is without skill? The guy does not get "backed off" bradley boxed him well in mid rounds but never backed him up. He is never off balance and he cuts a ring off better than anyone out there besides ggg maybe. Thurman couldn't do laps around the ring against him like he did agsinst karass. He'd get cornered quick.

Your stupid. Provo is a huge step up for him. That was a dumb dumb comment. And thurman isn't any harder to hit.

Tell me how he's a step up. What the fu ck makes him a step up. He don't have better skills. He lost to Bradley, who rocked him and if he had of boxed would have beat him a lot more convincingly. He beat Alvarado but that's not saying a whole lot. That was just a slugfest. Thurman is a level above Bradley and totally out classes Alvarado. Look at how he moves and look at his punch selection and his speed and power. His chin is excellent and capable. Here is the most dangerous thing about him, he hits just as hard backing up. Prov would get his ass tore up. Now before you call somebody you don't even know stupid, take the time to know what you're talking about.:bbb

He's a step up cuz he fought way better comp. he got robbed against the number 3 p4p at the time in a division he had never fought at. Thurman ain't fought no one!!! Alvarado woukd be a massive step up for thurman n ruslan almost killed the guy. Bradley certainly never rocked ruslan in any way. Tore his face up but didn't jar my mans senses once. Chin is excellent? Now I've seen thurman rocked for sure. By Chavez, karass and diaz. Ice never ever seen ruslan hurt. Bradley fought a slugfest cuz ruslan made him. Don't matter if I know you I read your posts...your fukkin stupid. What have u ever seen that would suggest thurman is a level above bradley???? Nothing. How do I know? Becuz he has not fought anybody worth mentioning!! Your a nut huggin sissy fanboy. Stating your uneducated moronic opinions as if they are fact does not make them so.

He fought Bradley and Alvarado, how is that better competition? As a matter of fact, take their last five fights and compare the competition . Thurman has fought the better fighters by far. There is nobody at Top Rank that can handle Thurman and that includes your boy Pac. You should re-watch his fight with Bradley because Bradley did rock his ass, and Ruslan didn't make Bradley do ****, Bradley fought that way because he was trying to prove something to the public. You wouldn't know a real fighter if one broke his foot off in your ass. Thurman will knock Prov's ass out and you know it. Now, all the rest of that **** you talking that don't relate to boxing, you can take it, fold it up real neat and stick it in the deepest part of your ass and sit on it cause you or it don't mean nothing to me.

Somebody's on somebody's nuts, I tell ya that.

People like to use that "he hasn't fought anyone yet" excuse all the time, but there's certain things people should be able to tell BEFORE someone fights a name.

For example, most people were SURPRISED Maidana kicked Broner's ass, but I knew it was gonna happen based on how Broner fights.

I'm of the opinion that Diego Chavez, just like Abregu was for Bradley, is a very underrated win. He's not a name yet, so of course people don't acknowledge it, but you can see the skill level Chavez showed in that fight, which should allow you to appreciate the fact that Thurman was able to overcome him... But then again, I guess we have to wait and see, huh...

But there were definitely moments in the Provo/Bradley fight where Bradley was able to get off a series of punches, and Provo did nothing in response. LIKELY why Roach threatened to STOP THE FIGHT. If Thurman was allowed to do that, he'd bust Provo's face up easily.
