Provodnikov wants to fight Marquez for less money than fight Manny Pacquiao.

This is a smart move from Provodnikov. By fighting and beating Marquez he would guarantee that a fight with Pacquiao will be far bigger.

 

I think that's why Ruslan wants to fight Marquez.. To avenge Pac and he doesn't want to fight Pac because he's a friend of his.
Honestly, I think Pac or JMM *could* very well beat him, but man is he BIG compared to them. I'm not sure if it was backstage before the Rios fight, or on All Access, but he was standing next to Pac and looked 4-5' taller and 25 pounds bigger.
I like Pac, and again I think he could definitely win, but I think Ruslan hurts him... Same said for JMM. Bradley showed a crazy chin to take those punches, but I don't think Pac or Marquez would take the same punches.
I don't really want to see him against Pac (especially if he has declined a bit), no point, he's a friend, and dangerous on top of it. Against JMM he's the same threat, but considering JMM is a whiny school girl.. I don't feel to sorry for him. Ruslan could definitely end him if he's on his game.

 

Its a huge risk taking on a natural counterpuncher like Marquez, with the style of Provodnikov, even with JMM's advanced age.

Prodovnikov-JMM would be a fking war, I think Marquez might get ko'd here.

 

I'm a Pacquaio fan but this is too funny, talk about digging yourself a hole *cough cough Bradley-Pac cough*


Anyway. I can see Provodnikov's point, he won't get another crack at JMM and would like to be the first to knock him out, he wants Roach in his corner, he is a seek-and-destroy fighter that might be hard to execute against Pac if they are such good friends, he might be able to fight Pac after JMM and it'd be big money if he won vs JMM. Also he probably feels he has a better chance vs. JMM, after sparring Pac maybe he thinks he would be too fast?

Also, it's refreshing to see a guy be honest and not just talk himself up for the big money fight.

 

JMM would destroy Provodnikov

 

smart business decision .. he could face a very faded marquez and with his power be the first to knock him out.. then lead into a fight with pacquiao down the road (when he has lost even more of himself) stating "i knocked marquez out and you struggled to get wins against him etc etc". provodnikov has a big future ahead of him if he plays his cards right
