"The guy hits like a hammer. I tried everything, but it did not work. You have to give him credit, because he had a good handle on the situation and it was an honor to meet him in the ring. Even though I lost every round, I wanted to fight on. [Early on] it seemed to me that I was resistant to punches, but eventually they caught up with me. For each subsequent start, I went out out with another plan, trying to surprise him, but he is really great," Proksa said. "I'm going to take a bit of a rest. There is no reason for us to have avoided fighting him - and I think today I fought not only the best fighter in my weight class, but perhaps even in the pound for pound rankings."
GGG is the truth and he's actually exciting and is in a division with legitimate challenges, unlike the klitschkos, but to say he's at the top of the p4p list is absurd. he's a very good, potentially great fighter, but he isnt the best in the world.
Got to like this guy. Not many people would have the balls to fight Kerry Hope twice and then Gennadiy Golovkin.
Proxa was game & tough as ****... He defo did his job showcasing GGG. (Both are fun fighter's to watch)
Going from 20 odd rounds with Hope to GGG must have been a hell of a shock. He's a good fighter though so hopefully he comes back from this.
Credit to Proksa, who else was willing to step in with GGG? Didn't Quillin turn down an offer? He would have taken a beating as well
Say what you want about Prosky but he ain't no *****. Took his beating and gives respect to the better man.
I'll give Proksa a lot of credit - not only did he take a fight that most other Middleweights wanted no part of (on short notice no less) but he's very respectful afterwards. Too many guys make excuses and try to denigrate their opponent. Not Proksa though. Respect.
From singing reggaeton during his entrance to the ring, to being classy in defeat, you just can't hate on this guy.
