Pryor or Holmes as H2H forces

Tell me you're only trying to drive Boxed Ears insane.

 

Well he's right, Holmes would make Pryor his ***** at a catchweight if they had every fought.

 

If they squared off at 175? Intriguing thought, but I'm pretty sure that BE meant in their respective weightclasses. Doesn't make any difference to my vote, though.

 

If they fought at the same weight, the tables would be turned on fairness, because Holmes would be 13 years old and is a complete boxing novice...

 

Head to head Pryor does better than he does on paper with Holmes accomplishments, if that is what you mean. I still think Holmes right hand would keep Pryor off of him. It is hard to think of Pryor as a heavyweight. I think that is what you meant. I think you should be more clear in your meaning.

 

Larry Holmes did more at Heavyweight than Pryor ever did at Light Welterweight.And don't forget that Pryor moved up from his natural weight jsut to get a title shot.

As for the topic at hand, Holmes has the better resume and longevity on his side. His many title defenses say it all!

Depends on how you rate Pryor H2H @ 140.

Like I rate Holmes below guys like Tyson, Clay, Lewis, (maybe) Holyfield, head to head.

Hard to find 4ish guys that were established at 140 being a bigger force, h2h, than Pryor.

 

That's how I saw it and why I voted that I'm leaning towards Pryor, even tho Larry would say to me "Phhuck yuu im Larry Ommsz" followed by a right hand.

both heads look solid, robust and buttable. but i give the edge in attitude to pryor

edit: aaron pryor also looks a LOT like bill dukes from predator. check mate. his bill duke-ness gives him a clear and dominant edge in testicular and intestinal fortitude
