What could make a difference in a fight?

    Pardon my ignorance.

Crushed pseudoephedrine, maybe crushed ephedrine, maybe crushed clenbuterol. Albuterol has been suggested, but seems unlikely. I used a Ventolin inhaler for my bronchitis late last year, and it never had any such effect on me, so I doubt that crushed albuterol tablets in water would be likely to give him a jolt like that.

I've speculated here in the past that maybe POS Lewis (and POS is his first name as far as I'm concerned) slipped some phencyclidine (PCP) into that bottle. Was it indeed an angel dust cocktail?

My best friend is a pharmacologist with an extensive background in chemistry. Next time I'm with her, I'll try to remember to ask what was readily available in 1982 which might have had that quick an effect of "opening up the lungs" that Pryor purportedly described. For the moment, my personal suspicion are OTC tablets containing pseudoephedrine.

    This.

And I agree that Lewis deserves the condemnation. Wasn't Pryors fault Lewis gave him something CLEARLY illegal. He manned up and rematched Arguello.

Ephedrine is enough to open up the lungs for me. You have to be careful with any of this stuff, overdo it and you'll start having heart palpitations and get KTFO
