Aaron had a stockier, heavier frame than DeJesus. Pryor had very wide/broad shoulders for his height.

He was a bigger and stronger man than DeJesus.

A much better matchup is Carlos Ortiz vs Pryor.

Pryor is too much for DeJesus.

I think DeJesus gets overrated when he's matched up with all time greats like Pryor, Chavez, Floyd, Pac, ect.

While I see him being competitive with all those guys, I don't see him actually beating any of them.

Ok, so he beat a still pre-peak Duran in an over-the-weight non-title bout.

When really counts is that Duran showed in their TITLE BOUTS a clear separation between the two.

Cervantes also showed that there's a separation between DeJesus and an all time great.

Stop putting Esteban on a pedestal. He was VERY GOOD, but not great.

He did drop Duran in the rematch as well. Not an easy man to put down. Pryor pulled his head up and was not defensively slick. DeJesus IMO is gonna land that sneak hook often. I'm not against Pryor wearing him down. I just think its a barnburner for the first 10 rounds.

Agreed. If Pryor runs out there and launches his kamakazie attack on Estaban he'll hit the mat. Pryor should eventually wear DeJesus out but he better bring his lunch.

Duran pointed out in his autobiography that DeJesus was very strong and very muscular. He was short but not small.

The class difference wouldn’t be marginal. Arguello would’ve starched De Jesus, too. You don’t have to rate Pryor as an all time great in the strict sense, but I can’t help but you think you’re fooling yourself if you don’t think he was a phenomenal talent for a short time. That’s just me, though. I’m sure people have their reasons for seeing him as overrated.

I stated the size difference is marginal. If Pryor won this it wouldn't be because of size. I'm a Pryor fan. I know how good he was but DeJesus I think is underrated. He unfortunately came along at the same time as the greatest Lightweight in boxing history. He won't have trouble finding Pryor. Your kidding yourself if you think this is one sided.

I probably lumped your posts in with some of the others. Apologies. It would no question be a very fun fight.
