Just saw that ESPN2 will have 7hrs of classic fights tomorrow. Lineup is: Ali vs Foreman Ali vs Frazier III Ali vs Spinks II Tyson vs Berbick Tyson vs Holmes Tyson vs Spinks Tyson vs Douglas Holyfield vs Foreman
I haven't watched some of these fights since I was a kid. When I started boxing at age 12 I use to watch all of my dads VHS tapes of Ali fights. One of my earliest memories as a kid was watching Ali vs Spinks II. I'm from St Louis and the whole town went nuts when he beat Ali. I was only five, but I remember the excitement of that rematch. Many years later I got to meet Leon when I was fighting at some amatuer smokers that he attended and even got to see him fight live in the early 90's although it was sad seeing him fight when he was so far past his prime.
Ali Vs Frazier is up next. I'm going to continue to chat with myself on here since I am eight beers into a case and still have 6 plus hours of boxing left tonight. Joe Frazier looks like he knows that he is about to walk through hell while standing in his corner with zero ****s to give.
