Where do bull**** numbers like this come from? "I found this but right off the bat i can tell it's not 100% true because the avg person can hit around 800.................. earnie shavers 1600+ psi joe louis 990 psi joe frazier 850 psi michael spinks 700psi mike tyson 1200 psi, 1450 psi, 1500 psi unconfirmed source rocky marciano 1100 psi Vitali klitcshko 1300 psi Wald Klitschko 1200 psi tommy morrison 1400 psi unconfirmed source muhammed ali 500 psi unconfirmed source.....on fight science last night a boxer used a right cross and had 993psi. a man smashing bricks with his forearm had 2,200" Why do these numbers still go into circulation?
Didnt Sam McVey have about 1400 psi, supposedly? It isnt about how hard you hit, because virtually any heavyweight hits hard enough to KO virtually anybody. It is how often you can hit cleanly without getting hit. p
Ok, was it PSI they showed or pounds of force. Often fight science does pounds of force, an MMA fighter threw like 2,300 and after researching I found out it was not actually psi.
Pounds of force is known as pound forces. And it is different. To get Psi you divide the Pound forces by the square inch, So if we knew the square inch on the brick breaker who did 2,200 pound forces we could get his psi. But, it is likely the PSI of the 2200 pound-forces hit was between 500 and 1,000 psi.
