boxing by far because of the corrupt alphabet belts, no legitmate champions, not on regular TV. According to them, its started to decline after Ali left. Also, the greatest athletes don't boxing anymore because they can make the same amount of money doing something safer. Discuss?
the UFc is not as popular as boxing, mma and Vale Tudo is only popular in Brazil, UK, USA, Japan and a few countries in Europe, boxing is massive in every country, maybe MMA can become as popular in the next 20years

? UFC regularly does over 250k ppv buys.. if thats what youre referring to. Theyve topped a million before. They probably havent gone BELOW 250k buys in a long time..
Numbers don't lie. MMA is doing good, but would I care? I watch both, I like watching both, and the constant "battle" between MMA and Boxing is ridiculous.
my bad, got the facts mixed up. i was thinking about a video i watched when they were talkin about all the numbers and stuff and they said the most rampage ever made was 250k, and was one of their biggest events.
I believe Rashad Evans vs Chuck Liddell sold more than Hopkins vs Pavlik and Calzaghe vs Jones put together.
MMA gets more buys because it prices it's PPV's lower and pays its fighters less than boxing on every level (and on the lower ones, that ain't an easy accomplishment). Once the MMA fighters' collective lightbulbs pop up over their heads and they realize that they're being underpaid given the recognition the promotions get, you'll see fewer and fewer stacked cards.
