People freaking out in their comments section.. nobody is clued in..

 

...goddamn... Torres vs. Laguna was a snacc of a fight on paper, too.

 

While we wait, I rewound and took a good hard listen to when they read the result.

Nearly a thousand fights judged, including many internationally (a bunch of title fights in the UK, randomly) - and while he seems to mostly be in sync with the other two judges's scorecards on each night he also seems to mostly work mismatches where it would be hard to see it any other way (ie 6-rounders with all three submitting a 60-53 or 60-52 card...)

Plus, he just seems to have a thing against Bimbito. Every time he judges a fight of Méndez's, he gives the opponent a couple of rounds...even when the other judges have it a shutout.

 

Yeah and only the mandatory round at that, without the knockdown and deduction Ramos may well have scored a shutout for Rivera for all we know.

 

So I'm beginning to feel like Torres vs. Laguna was scrapped last-minute for some reason...
