Looked at our local newspaper yesterday, The Province, and on the cover was a picture of Pac, and inside was a write up of who excited the philippine community is about this fight. I don't believe a boxer has ever been on the front cover of a newspaper here in my lifetime. Also first time I ever recall a group of friends calling me up to watch a boxing match. The said the gate exceeds that of the superbowl, and has about 1/5 of the number of seats.
I have about 5 people who have never watched a boxing match in their life coming to my place to watch it.
