Because Big Tims ass is broke and has mouths to feed. He's not signed to SF isnt in the UFC so has to fight for whatever scraps he can get.
I see.Still....it's difficult to see-in terms of either grappling or wrestling- what Marius could bring against a seasoned professional fighter.
Muscles/ strength are overrated, BUT real muscle/ strength are underrated. You guys don't think Wlad lifts weights? Brock lifts weights. Fedor lifts weights (though he does different kind of workouts, and doesn't have a bodybuilder build). Most athletes these days lift weights! The thing is to stay flexible, keep your cardio up, get your experience up (in whatever sport your doing), and lift properly for your sport!!! Pudz has trained properly for HIS SPORT! In WSM he is one of the most in shape guys, has explosive power, etc. In MMA he's not got the experience (being relaxed, and knowing what your doing would increase your wind by 50% i'd venture to say). He didn't know what to expect, and he thought he was going to throw a 300 pd man (who is relaxed, he does have experience, who isn't weak, who knows how to use his leverage) around like a ragdoll. It worked for about 30 seconds, and after that it was pretty clear.. So, don't think for a second real "muscles" and "strength" are overrated. Sure, people like Brock have tecnique, and know what there doing. Being the bigger, stronger man helps a shitload at controlling people as well. This is why there are weight divisions, and a good big man beats a good small man every damn day of the week! Plus, I find it funny how everybody refers to this fight making it out like Sylvia is a man Pudz should have easily handled. Is Pudz stronger? Yep. Does Sylvia weight more, is the taller man, and has a leverage advantage? Yep. So, I'm not to shocked that Pudz got gassed trying to throw around a 300 pd man...At least Pudz took some good shots, and his cardio failed him more than his chin. I think he'll come back. I think he does well with anybody of *decent* skill level whom is smaller than he is. I hope he works on his skills though, on his striking, some wrestling ability, getting better cardio, and this experience will have taught him something.
:good This!! And this!! The only thing I can add is that without cardio, in a fight lasting longer than 30 seconds, you are ****ed!
