Thanks for the video, it was quite interesting. I still don't agree with your contention though. The strength difference between the World's Strongest Man(multiple winner) and pretty much anyone other than Carwin and Lesnar is in my estimation still much greater than between Jacare and that ex-footballer. What's more, the bigger grapplers won't have Jacare's skill level. Additionally, Pudz will have one hell of an intimidation factor working in his favour over anyone who is not a great striker.
You have to remember that this is not the pudz that trains for WSM. He weighed in at 277, and from what I know he is 315 normally for WSM events. So in weight he is similar to a lot of big heavies. But he does not have half of the skill level. He would not be able to out wrestle Lesnar or any other decent HW wrestler, who is not as good as Jacare at BJJ but is still light years ahead of Pudz. Saying that a good HW wrestler say a 240lb Cain Velazquez who has as good credentials as most mma fighters. Would not be able to out wrestle pudz is like saying in football or rugby guys wouldnt be able to stop him running with the ball when infact they would demolish him at a world class level. The difference in skillset between really geniunly talented wrestlers or bjj guys that have been practiciing their disipline for 20 years compared to Pudz is huge Example B: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8-D86sThn4&feature=related[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UeLKC-DohR8[/ame] Roger Gracie vs Ron Waterman. Waterman is a seasoned mma fighter with a well rounded skillset, in with Roger. Roger is a not exactly cut 220 who could make 205 and will in the future and Waterman is 280lbs solid. So there is easily 60lbs of muscle in difference. In a gym Waterman would be able to lift many times more than Roger. Watch what happens. Now think Watermans skills are miles ahead of Pudz and he has been a pro mma fighter for 10+ years. So the differnce between Pudz and a good wrestler or BJJ blackbelt would easliy as much as between Roger and Waterman. Then add 40lbs to his frame to get your average sized HW and they would have their way with Pudz on the ground. What?
I am still just looking forward to seeing Puds swing his arms and legs for the fences. Im just happy to sit back and watch the ride. For how ever long it lasts.
Lol the poor bloke he was fighting didnt know what was happening. He had this genetic freak chasing him around kicking him like a soccer ball. Did you see Puds entourage jump in the ring after the fight??All big ass polish dudes like him.. If he keeps working on his skillset who knows what can happpen. With his ridiculous size/strength he will always be a live underdog.
Its just one of those things I am yet to be convinced. Hell I mean look at Roger Gracie, in my humble opinion the best BJJ guy in history, (can only go by hat I have wintnessed) and he is imo not going to do that much in mma. So with that said if Pudz goes up against somebody who has a clue he will get beat up.
Pudz is VERY raw at the moment. Unfortunately MMA has evolved too much for him to have ANY sort of success with any elite heavyweight. Pudz at present would have no success in a more one dimensional era facing someone like Mark Coleman let alone the 2010 version in Brock or Carwin. Pudz can't even make weight yet. He is way too muscle bound to fufil his potential. He needs to lose a good 30-40 pounds to fufil his potential.
