Yeah he was the Puerto Rican Sanchez. In fact his father fought Salvador and used the same training techniques he learned from Salvador's team on his son. Wilfred Benitez's mom, Clara, who was my friend, used to tell me about how Felix Sr and Salvador stayed at the same hotel and Felix Sr. observed Salvador's routine.
Figure Camacho belongs in this mix. Moving for 12 rounds, non-stop in some cases (and in-and-out when he was younger/lighter) like a perpetual motion machine takes stamina.
Trinidad for sure, he was always in otion and never seemed to draw a deep breth. Very Sanchez-like, as was mentioned. Also have to tip the cap to Escalera, another herky-jerky all-action guy who always seemed to go a lot of rounds, and effectively late.
LOL..there were many conversations over 12 years... She did say the press blamed Gregorio Benitez for her son's economical situation and that was not entirely true. I loved that woman.
