You need to know that Jersey is one of the most paid states in the USA but that because that states is expensive, maybe he is living well with 50 grand, is just location, if he was in New Jersey, New york or California he would have gained realy good money. For some countries or states 50 grand is good.
what hometown advantage did calderon have...besides the fans? Did you think the fight should've continue...because that cut was disgusting. Why all the whining on your part...if it wasn't a robbery?
Did you not hear the fans, the biase commentary? How the **** can hugo win late without a ko? We all know that Ivan threw less and produces no damage so it is digusting to hear that he dominated. and hell when they flashed the punch stats. Caza overwhelmingly won the punches thrown and landed more. he was setting the pace while caleron landed some sissy punches.
Manila? Man, Calderon won the fight. When you say Calderon was "running" , it wasnt a chicken kind of running. It's also boxing. Hit and not get hit. Sure, I love watching violent slugfests too, but boxing to win a match is a perfectly good way to earn a victory. It wasnt like Calderon wasnt punching back. He was hitting Cazares pretty good. Not with KO power, but he's scoring, nonetheless.
He threw less but landed at the higher %...and the more meaningful shots...and fans are fans...they will always cheer the hometown fighter, that's nothing new. Have you seen the scoring? 1 judge had Calderon winning by only one round...just like you did...so what's the big deal? I don't understand...it can't be because of the commentators alone. What would've happen later in the fight is insignificant...considering that even you had Calderon winning at the stoppage,
they were chanting ole even when the punch lands. showing replays where hugo is off balancing from chasing and caleron landing. yea... no hometown cooking alright.
Whether his game is pro or amateur style, it's still written in the boxing rule books that outpointing an opponent is still good enough for you to win. If the rules were "Only KOs can win fights" then I can agree with you.
I guess you guys didn't hear the massive complains about olympic boxing how it is just a tapping contest. We don't need it in the pros. Olympic have corrupt judging and pro is no better.
They were clear punches, man. Not KO punches, but they were clear punches. What were the judges supposed to do, disregard all that? Nobody said Calderon was a KO artist.
i have seen/read countless biaseness against the non house fighters. ex. promoter ringing the bell early. ruiz vs valuev I when ruiz should have won since he "touched" valuev more. Guys getting penalized for minor **** and on and on.
