I think that Cazares was getting to Calderon in rounds 6 and 7. There were some close rounds, still I think that Calderon deserved the win because even though Cazares was closing the gap, he wasn't effective enough in the earlier rounds.

Besides Hugo is 5'-5/6" and weighted over 123 pounds. Ivan is 5'-0" and weighted like 113.

I don't think the home factor advantage had anything to do with the decision.

What was bull**** was Cazares saying:

"I would have been ashamed to have won the title in this way" referring to Calderon winning on points by a tech decision.

 

Cazares is big and strong but a limited brain he fight like a moron and had a peanut of a brain.

 

Its actually called "knowing your limitations" why would he plant down for power when he knows he has no punching power. His success relies on his ability to box and he knows that very well. Calderon took Cazares to school.:bbb
