Rosario wasnt half the fighter Gomez was,at the time of the fight with Sanchez,Gomez was undefeated and one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world, that was probably the fight that started the all Mexico)Puerto Rico rivalry.

Gomez was not only clubbing....he was banging a celebrity the night before the fight....he was that confident he would dispatch Sanchez !!!

That was a tough one to get over !!!!

He was the giant Margo-Cheato fan who ran away after the Mosley fight! I wondered what his new handle was!

The reason he did that was because of the booing of the U.S. national anthem by the Puerto Rican crowd during Trinidad-Joppy.

Hopkins also began chanting "USA!" on the ropes after his TKO victory over Trinidad. This was something the Puerto Rican people brought on themselves.

He must have only busted one nut, otherwise he wouldn't have gotten out of the first.

Mad heart from Gomez to last as long as he did.

I've been a fan on and off of Cotto, I actually wasnt big on him, I just taught he could take Manny Pacman so I rooted for him, and gave him benifit of the doubt to bring his career around, but whatever....LOL

I agree. Here are my to 4 losses

    1. benitez vs leonard
    2. gomez vs sanches
    3. tito vs hopkins
    4. cotto vs margarito

gomez lost to sanchez is MY personal worst with tito hopkins being a close second. i was devasted when gomez lost, the whole country was just as when tito lost. history will remember Gomez as the greatest boxer in puertorrican history and to not include his lost there is unthinkable.
