This boy has some power hahaha. Lets see how he moves on his feet when hes under pressure. He is DEFINITELY one of the very best damn prospects in boxing period. He could be the best prospect in boxing today actually.

On a side note, I wonder how often he switches between orthodox and southpaw stances? He nearly killed that guy out of the southpaw stance but hes normally orthodox.

Tomas Dulorme (10-0 9KOs) is an exciting young undefeated prospect who hails from Puerto Rico. Tomas is coming off an impressive victory over Guillermo Valdez on the Martinez/Dzinziruk undercard on HBO. He can next be seen on the undercard of the Berto/Ortiz fight on HBO. Tomas was kind enough to take a bit of time and answer a couple questions for us.

BA: Tomas, for fight fans not yet familiar with you, give us a little background on yourself. Where did you grow up? When did you start boxing? Who were your boxing idols as a kid? etc.
TD: I grew up in the Island of St. Maarten in the french side of Puerto Rico. I started boxing when I was 8 years old. My boxing Idol was and always has been Sugar Ray Leonard. He’s amazing.

BA: How would you describe your fighting style? Is there a fighter out there now that you’d compare yourself to?
TD: I don’t know. People say that I fight like Sugar Shane Mosley and others say Thomas Hearns. I’m just trying to do me but it’s an honor to be compared to them.

BA: You impressed a lot of people last Saturday. How was it fighting on the undercard of an HBO televised event?
TD: It was great. A great opportunity for me and my Island of Puerto Rico.

BA: Other than your pro debut, this was just your second time fighting outside of Puerto Rico. Do you plan to fight mostly in the US going forward?
TD: Well, i don’t think so. I’ll probably do at least 1 or 2 fights in Puerto Rico each year, it depends on what my promoters think is better for me.

BA: Assuming you have another impressive showing on the Berto/Ortiz undercard on April 16th, what would you like to do next?
TD: If it’s possible I would like to fight for an interim title so I can start ranking myself.

BA: In your short career, you have fought at lightweight, light-welterweight and most recently welterweight. What weight are you most comfortable at?
TD: This (welterweight) is my best weight. I feel really strong and hope to do most of my career at this weight.

BA: Anything you’d like to say in closing?
TD: Hi Fans. Hope that in the future I can provide big and exciting fights for you. Thank you for all the support that I have received in my short career. Have a great day.

Looks like a solid prospect. He definitely looks like he's not done growing, I expect him to move up soon.

he got a lil bit preassured and pulled into trade in the first round vs jorge delgado and he pretty much answered back with more big shots.

Personally I'm calling Carlos Ivan Velasquez the next great from PR, but Dulorme looks a pretty good contender for that title.

yeah but he can take that jump look at his structure this guys is big, has more of a tito structure, except tito never exacly looked strong he just knocked guys senseless and would wonder where that hook came from, lol.

that shows dude, this guy is orthodox can knock u senseless with the right but switches south and does it too with the left, man that is some serious power,

also cruz, he had honorio exhausted and stumbling sometimes with one hook at a time, with if he put combos in there, he had him hurt and exhausted and would land a big uppercut or hook every 15-20 seconds imagine if he put in there combos, i knew he could Ko honorio but i understand to better becareful and try to get out safe with a much more expirienced guy like honorio whos taken alot of 0's

Yeah....I created a series of threads titled: "Best Under the radar Prospects". and I created a different one for different regions of the world since there are posters from all over the map in ESB. I asked for posters to post about "UNDER THE RADAR" Boricua, Cuban, Canadian, European, Asia and "Across the Pond" Prospects.

And the Boricua Prospects on the list were:

Jorge Teron - Got DESTROYED in 3 Rounds by Brandon Rios

Carlos Negron - Still unbeaten, but now a legitimate HW after starting his career at 180lbs. now he's Close to 220lbs. I don't know if this was by Design or by MOFONGO.

Jorge Diaz - Just lost to Teon Kennedy.

Raymond Serano - Boricua from the States (Philly) Still unbeaten.

Danny Garcia - Another Boricua from the States (Philly) Just won versus Nate Campbell.

    Thomas Dulorme - Still unbeaten.

When it comes to Negron I think he filled out, he's what 6'6" with an 83" reach, it can't have been good for him coming in at 185

I like this guy, but I like Luis Cruz better. He my top prospect from PR right now.
Diego Malgaldo is my top USA prospect.
