Most of the time on Boxing forums people love to brag about how supremely badass and unbeatable their favorite fighters are. But deep down, most of you know that's complete and utter bull****, this sport is incredibly unpredictable at times, and all it takes is for your favorite fighter to get in the ring with someone who's a stylistic nightmare for him, every boxer seems to have one, even a guy who's a little too awkward, a little too slick, or a guy that hits just a little too hard catches him right on the button, and that could be all she wrote.

So feel free to use this thread as your very own Confessional, and unload all those innermost fears that keep you up at night chewing your finger nails off. Tell us who is the pugilistic boogieman that's got you crapping all over yourself the most?

    Confession Time!!!! Don't be a *****, Fess Up.:deal:

Who is your favorite fighter or fighters?

Which potential opponent or opponents do you fear will or could beat them?

And don't give me any of that postmodernist hogwash about how uncool it is to be invested in anything, and how emotionally detached you are from everything and how ultimately you don't really care, because its just a sport, someone has to win and someone has to lose, none of this ultimately effects me anyway.... because that's a bald faced crock of ****.

There's nothing wrong with being passionate about the sport you love, and the fighters you root for, and with that passion comes fear of failure for them. So....

    Spill Your Guts!

    Unburden Yourselves.:vomiton22je:

Usyk - and i do fear him facing gassiev, i think he will win and I want to see the fight but that's going to be a grueling fight.

Ryan Burnett - zolani tete, i think tete with he's stick insect physique could cause issues, id want him to win the belt but its a tough one.

As for GGG, i think he is past prime now but i dont have any fear of him facing anyone, its just when he does eventually lose to some 10 years plus younger than him some idiots on here will act like he got exposed which will be insufferable

I don't have the current fav fighter in mind.
Tszyu was one of my favourite, and during his heyday, I hope he never move up and meet Margarito whom I think will be a nightmare for him. My fear was that it will end up like the Phillips fight.
Luckily I think the Tszyu crew think the same.

Not actually my favorite fighter but out of the things that are currently going on, and I know it's not really cool to even care and I totally don't because it's just a sport and I'm emotionally detached from everything but if Eubanks stops Groves you'll find me crying in fetal position under the table.

OK, here goes. Big fan of Thurman, his chill demeanor, his surprising articulacy, as well as his entertaining, adaptable style. But I know he doesn't like it "up him" to use a cricketing term. For that reason Errol and his ultra impressive body shots has me sweating buckets.

Love Usyk, and whilst I don't think it will happen, the idea of one of Dorticos/Gassiev chinning him would be borderline unbearable, especially given the amount of detractors his popularity has already earned him around these parts. It would make me feel. Very feel.

Likewise Loma, the hype around him has brought more than his fair share of haters as well. Losing to a smaller man (even if that man has one of the best defenses of this generation) would give the anti-EE posters a decade worth of ammunition about how the great hope was beaten by an Uber driver and an ancient midget.

Hmm. Joshua, GGG, Linares, Lomachenko, Wangek.

Joshua - Fully fit T. Fury is most likely to worry me as he has the ability box rings around him... Other than that... Povetkin possibly.

GGG/Loma/Wangek - can't say I fear anyone atm but I do think GGG is likely to lose soon due to age

Linares - Garcia... Linares is chinny

Gvozdyk: Beterbiev and Stevenson scare the **** of me.
Sor Rungviasi: I'm already dreading the Estrada match.
Linares: I'm totally fine with him ducking Mikey.
Usyk: Gassiev is giving me indigestion, and I fear a move to Heavyweight.
I have zero desire to see Inoue vs. Sor Rungvisai.:llorona:
GGG: Saunders can beat this version, maybe even without British judges.
    I love Lemieux and I love Saunders.:llorona:
Lomachenko: I'm totally fine with him not moving up.

Anthony Joshua: I’m worried about wilder landing that one right hand which cleans out AJ and I’ll never hear the end from the wilder fanboys. This does have me worried
Higa: I just want him to stay at his weight divsion
Benavidez: For me I’m worried about him not performing well consistently as he can have a bad night
Money Garcia: don’t move upto 147. Doesn’t have the power. Stay at 140.

    Let me think of others

Huge fan of Linares too and if it were up to me I'd bestow him with honourary British citizenship at this point, easily the most entertaining LW IMO (not a slight against Mikey but he's just a little too textbook whereas Jorge's speedy twitching, constant feinting and ballsy lead uppercuts are a thing of beauty).

But I've just come to terms with the fact that Mikey will set a trap and chin him eventually if they ever fought. Please, Mikey, just fill the Crawford shaped vacuum at 140.

AJ vs WLAD had me crapping myself so much. I know this is in the past but still I was so worried when AJ gassed out.

I was the exact opposite of you with that one, I wrote an article about how Wlad would brutally KO AJ, and when he dropped him, I jumped up off the couch and let out a massive YEAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!! followed by **** his ass up Wlad. And then he took his foot off the gas.:shakehead:

Well, since I've been a Wlad fan since you were in kindergarten, I was like @Max Thunder said, rolled up and crying in a fetal position.
