Too long to post, but gives a nice breakdown of each fighters recent form and the reason they are there.

Not sure I think there will be a Maidana stoppage, but I agree that it would be a stepping stone to redemption with the British public who didn't like the guy at the best of times and took great pleasure in his drubbing vs Prescott.

One thing that does worry me is how Khans was a little loser late in the fight against both Kotelnik and Malinaggi. I say lose in relative terms though. Khan isn't a guy who can get tagged, like, at all. Him having anything less than a wall of gloves, I consider lose and risky.

What size gloves are they wearing?

Khan-Maidana supposed to be 8 ounces according to the Nevada commission (to whom I asked this question last week in the chat).

Hey Dan, official pics for the BW tourny and the HBO card this weekend?

OK here are my official picks: I like Ortiz by decision over Peterson, Khan to stop Maidana late, Perez by decision over Agbeko and Mares by decision over Vic.

My weekend was made by the exuberant ammount of boxing/beer I would consume on Saturday night. I am not happy with Wlad pulling out of his proposed slaughter of that turd and future jail inmate, Derek Chesora.

I think a stopage is possible but in order to do that, Khan will be putting himself in the firing line more than he has done in a fair few fights. He was cautious against Kotelnik and Malinaggi didn't really offering anything that could put him danger. Maidana is no slouch and if he lands, expect Khan to be in extremely hot water. I expect to see a cautious performance from him. If he does stop him, I will be extremely impressed as he will be taking a risk with that china chin of his.
