If you can't see that both are quality heavyweights, I figure you for ignorant of the sport and/or just not very bright. It's the kind of match the division needs. If it happens, I applaud it.
I hope Jennings is aware of the fact, that it is very difficult to get a decision against a Sauerland - fighter in Germany. He has to clearly dominate Pulev.
Yeah, I had to come back here for my fix! I forgot how ugly (and moronic) it can get around here. :blood Lots of activity, though. :good
Good point. - But you have to figure that Jennings doesn't have a whole lot of options right now. He HAS to step up, yet his last performance was dismal, and that's putting it nicely. His one advantage is that, I assume, no top-ten HW is likely to view him as a threat, so maybe he does have options after all.
No it isnt anymore. Last time even a german fighter (Culcay) was robbed against Pitto. Jennings has to win clearly. Very close fights will normally go to the home fighter just like in every other country. Problem is that Jennings dont has the tools to beat Pulev. Both like to be on the outside. But Pulev has a better jab and better movement. Peoplesaid Jennings can move well. But he cant he is pretty slow on his feets. As we saw against Fedosov.
Culcay didn´t get robbed. Pitto got a fair shake, that´s what happened. Generally on Sauerland cards it doesn´t happen though that close fights get to the guest. As for Jennings being slow, don´t know what you´ve seen, but he´s somewhat fast for a heavyweight. He´s still learning though and his movement has some flaws, as his whole game, cause of the lack of amateur experience. Still he is one of the best prospects out there and i just don´t see Pulev being that much better.
Actually, Malik Scott would argue different. He had his showcase fight vs Glaskov on NBC, won no less than 8 rds and was robbed with a draw. It was like he won the lottery jackpot, but when he went to claim his million, they simply refunded his $2 ticket price.atsch As for this fight.....Pulev vs Jennings..... Not the right move by Bye. Pulev has world class experience and may have the finest jab in all the sport. His footwork is second to only and possibly only Haye. Add to that he has moderate power, a solid beard, good defense and it's not looking good for Bryant Jennings. I know the kid wants to get to the top, but this could seriously derail his career. His best weapon needs to be his jab, and in the Fedosov fight, it was garbage. MOF....if it werent for the uppercut that rocked Fedo early in the 3rd, I actually had Fedo on his way to a win in that one. Not saying Bye can't repeat that "lucky" shot, it's just that Pulev is not gonna square up like that, and Jennings is goona have to every centimeter of that 84" reach to his advantage. My prediction..... Pulev by mid rds TKO :---(
