Pulev to fight Joshua in summer 2007 according to his promoter.

    Pulev to fight Joshua in summer 2017 according to his promoter Saureland.
    He said that in interview for bulgarian media Sportal.
    He also share they did not accept the match now as was not financially good for them and that before Dec 3 is expect Kubrat to become mandatory challenger for IBF, so they will get bigger share from the match. He said AJ is expected to fight Klichko in March or april then in the summer Kubrat will fight the winner.
    He also said that it is very possible the brother of Kubrat-Tervel to make his pro debut on Dec 3, when Kubrat Pulev face Samuel Peter.

    If they are going back in time can we at least match up AJ with ali or lewis instead? seems like a lot of effort for pulev.

    This doesn't shock me. Pulev didnt want the fight now , so he is trying to get a younger Joshua of about 17 years old to better his chances .

    I guess this is possible, Joshua's is due a mandatory defence soon and Pulev is now the top ranked contender with the IBF now Parker is fighting for the WBO title.

    Pulev better pray Hearn and Joshua don't do what Wlad did and petition the IBF that Pulev get a smaller share than normal for a mandatory.

    Nope, Pulev has flat out ducked Joshua. I don't think he will ever fight him.

    There's some contradictory statements there as well from Sauerland. First of all Hearn has said that they made no less than three career-high offers to Pulev (which would have meant more than he made for fighting Wlad), and they turned them all down with no negotiation. So the Sauerland statement that it wasn't "finally good for them" doesn't seem to make sense. Especially the bit where they say becoming mandatory for the IBF will get them a better deal financially. 25% to Pulev as mandatory challenger is going to be more than what they were offered? Doubtful.

    Sauerland always does that,they wait for mando spot and then take the fight and yes its obviously more money as mando.
    And of course obviously Pulev has no chance vs big,tall and fast puncher,hes not gonna risk it unless he gets 1 mil + ,same as Wlad fight he lost basically.The offer for voluntary was around 500k afaik and they turned it down,just not worth it.

    shows pulev is just looking for a payday and not a belt.

    he has been average since klitchko loss /jab and hold only saftey first style his confidence poor.

    he was good to watch prior to this.
