I really can't see hearn wanting any part of either fury for joshua tbh. Both give him major problems. In fact i am predicting that both furys come through. Hughie will call joshua out in a respectful way but will stay active rather than be messed about by matchroom. As for tyson who knows
Insincere apology accepted. You are merely repeating a lie widely spread by Hennessy and the Furys. The actual figures according to BARB were 1.09 million for the main event on Channel 5. This rises to 1.11 million when you add in 5+1. These are decent enough figures but they aren’t three million. Hennessy made up some figures for the undercard on Spike and added them to a similarly inflated figure for the main event and magically came up with 2.9 million. Bull**** is still bull**** even if it is widely reported and willingly believed by fanboys. Have a look if you want. https://www.barb.co.uk/viewing-data/weekly-top-30/
I agree that Hughies style could be tricky and the fight would be tricky to market given Hughie's lack of charisma / KO's but not sure how Matchroom could block an IBF mandatory, they tend to be enforced?
They are amazing figures...decent is a few hundred thousand but over a million is brilliant. If you’re getting figures like that then c5 can charge top money for advertising.
Really looking foward to this one now...anyone got any bets on? Whats Fury's odds for the KO, anyone know ?
It's around 8 on Betfair right now but might be able to hold out for higher. Pretty decent I think, Fury to win is around 2.4
Draw at 18/1 and you never know but I'm sure those judges are well briefed in the event it's a close card.
Clearly Team Fury and Mick Hennessy don’t think they are amazing otherwise they wouldn’t feel the need to triple them.
I always enjoy looking at the posters and promotion for Hughie’s fights. The word Fury in massive writing while Hughie is either not there at all or in minuscule writing, in the hopes of tricking some casuals into watching thinking they’re getting Tyson. It’s a bit like putting De Niro on a movie poster and then only finding out when you’ve paid you’re money that it’s Robert’s slightly simple cousin Dougie.
If H Fury had more pop he'd be a legit threat to Joshua and Wilder. Can defo outbox Pulev, stoppage a slim chance tho.
Cheers bruv...are you having a bet? Do you have an idea what time the actual fight is on? Im working until 10 so hoping i can make it home in time!
have heard others say around 9:15 but always 5+1 I think I will have a punt on Fury for the KO whilst i don't expect it to come in those odds are to good to refuse.
Really? Being mandatory it would be foolish to give up a belt and pass off a chance on selling the Fury name and fight. Lots of casuals will buy into Joshua vs Fury, with many not even realising it isn't Tyson that is involved in the fight until they enter the squared circle.
Coverage on 5 starts at 9pm, so 9:15 is viable, which would be 11:15 in Bulgaria. Would hazard a guess of 9.30. 5+1 is a good shout - great to have boxing on terrestrial again for a change
