Pulev v Hughie predictions

Hughie looked like a good prospect in his first few fights but the problem is he hasn't pushed on since then.

This Pulev fight is a real crossroads, if he loses here he's right at the back of the pack and he's got guys like Gorman and Dubois and Joyce to compete with now

 

The list you really wanted to share with us.

 

I don’t think people are exactly making out that he’s the second coming but I think some of us can see the potential in Hughie in his boxing skills. His footwork is very smooth for a heavyweight, he’s elusive with his movement and angles, and quite clever with picking his shots. He might have only been domestic level but the way he snipered Sexton with that shot in corner showed he is levels above.

His resume’ isn’t the strongest but remember that the lad is only 24. He’s a baby in heavyweight years. Fighting the likes of Parker and Pulev (win or lose) are gonna be brilliant learning curves for him.

 

Hughie's gonna have to come up with something special to get his hands raised in Bulgaria. Just don't see anything to suggest he will stop Pulev, I might be wrong though. He should try the old traveller tactic of not taking a bath for a few weeks. Throw Kubret off his game by stinking the stadium out.

 

He doesn't need to miss a bath to stink the joint out, he'll do that anyway.

Hughie needs to let his hands go like he did against sexton, I think he will but I don’t think he’ll have enough pop to stop Pulev.

Even if fury runs rings around pulev for 12 rounds he won’t get his hand raised and I hope he and peter know this. The fact that pulev is putting this whole show on himself really stinks!

If the going gets tough for pulev then I can see him faking some sort of injury or foul play so that it’s a nc result

Should be a good fight though, Hughies footwork and hand speed are levels above pulev so I doubt we’ll end up getting a cuddling contest
