No way is hell Pulev has the power to stop Thompson. Pulev failed to stop glass chin Travis Walker and that is something even Adamek was able to do. The only way Pulev can win is 12 rounds UD. No way they will let any American or UK fighter win on the cards over there. Thompson will beat Pulev fairly easy being he does not have to worry about Pulevs power. Price does have problems but he is one of the hardest hitters out there. Your right about him looping his right hand. I hope this fight happens because Pulev will lose.

Pulevs jab is probably more solid than Thomspons short R hand.

Pulev will consistently move Thomspon into his power and drill that jab into Tony's nose.

Come middle rounds, Tony will be a bloody mess from eating jab after jab after jab and the first solid OH R that Pulev drives will drop a disheartened Thompson.

There is no out here for Thompson. He cant hurt Pulev, and he cant outbox him, not even 5 yrs ago.

Thompson needs to fight chinny bangers than he can lure into a brawl and crack their fragile mandibles.

Thomspon vs Mitchell would be a good one for Tony to pursue. Maybe Adamek or Walker would be decent as well.:think

 

Man, Solis fights better sparring partners than the bum he beat. GTFO here with these bloated appraisals vs absolute punching bags. Years ago, when I saw him labour against crappy old man Austin, I knew this guy was over rated big time and lo and behold it became true. You can have all the skills and potential in the world, but when you're not living and breathing boxing mentally and in your spirit, you're just another Golota or worse.

 

Golota had a glass jaw and a glass heart and only had 1/10 of Solis natural ability.
Solis lacks ambition yes, but Solis isnt the first world title challenger to labor against Austin. A fellow named Stiverne did as well, and that same fellow almost GTFO Chris Arreola with a single shot, and is scheduled to fight for the world title in December.

Plus....Austin himself was once considered a solid B level HW. Not everyone is gonna KO him with 4 consecutive L hooks as Wlad did.:deal

The only Euro that beat TT was Wlad. He beat the rest of those hype jobs. Brewster and TT combined exposed how weak the fighters are over there outside of the Klitschkos. Brewster even exposed WLad when he was in his prime. Even a old TT is way better than anyone Pulev has been in with. Brewster had a fluke win over Wlad, in a fight he was getting destroyed in, and that was not Wlad's prime - Sanders KOed Wlad too, let's crown him while we're at it :roll:. Wlad became much better after the Brewster fight and working with Steward.

Besides Wlad, the only wins are over Price (2), Ibragimov, Krasniqi (2), and Golota. TT was the odds-favorite against Ibragimov, and both of their Krasniqi fights had almost square odds. Golota was a slight favorite. Price was a decided favorite both fights, and if anything, Brewster was exposed by Liakhovich in a fight Brewster was supposed to win easily.

In other words, they didn't "expose" anyone except for Price, and maybe Golota, you fool.

The fact that Brewster and TT never fought Holyfield, Ruiz, Byrd, Toney, Tua, Peter, Chambers, McCline, Rahman, Moorer, Mercer, or Briggs is embarrassing.

 

European HW's are much better than American HW's today, thats a fact that can't be denied. Pulev may not have a lot of power but he has a good jab and sound fundamentals. He can stops guys on accumulation as you saw in the Dimitrenko and Ustinov fights. Pulev will likely outpoint TT, and if he does will you man up to admit to being wrong?
