Check the threads before the fight. The consensus opinion of this forum was that Pulev was an actual threat to Wlad.
He got up after MULTIPLE Knockdowns from possibly the hardest puncher on Earth. Tell me again how he has a glass jaw? Idiot.
no,hi is not garbage.just like the most HW fighter hi is not the same class like Wlad....Lets see what happend now Steverne vs Wilder and who will Wlad now fight...very interesting fight:good
I think you guys underrate Pulev. Calling this a glass jaw? Go and re-play the record on the moment he was knocked out and imagine any fighter taking the same shot. Please just name me a fighter who would take this shot. Besides, Pulev really was a troublemaker this night and gave a competative fight. Wlad did not feel as comfortable as usually. He clinched and took those rabbit punches. He was cought by solid punches several times and I even thought that he wobbled. I also keep hearing that Povetkin is better than Pulev because he went the distance. Yes, he did, but he only took the jabs and didn't land anything noticeable. Pulev gave Wlad no choice but to work with his right. Wlad didn't concentrate on using his jab because he found out that he was not demonitating in jab battle, that's why he decided to hurt Pulev. And finally, he did.
he has good taking abilities imo as shown by getting up multiple times from the kds and trying to fight back, but he s awfully easy to hit, can be said wlad looked like a V2 rocket blitzing through his "defense", actually IM not sure we can call it defense.
Very good post. Like you, I was one of the few who realized that Pulev had absolutely nothing for Wladimir. This turned out to be just as easy as I thought it would be.
the only good think what i saw about our Pulev is his pressure, very quality and the jabs agianst Wlad for me was 50:50...all other abilities was not the same lvl...not enough punching power, experience and boxring intelligence...he won't to show hi have the better boxing ability, but against Wlad you need to have not only ability, you need to have tacktic and strategy....Fail
His chin is shaky. I don't mind him going down to that hard left hook, but he got wobbled by virtually every power shot from round 1 on. Other boxers have taken shots against Wlad significantly better. He sure is not iron chinned. Then again, who cares? His boxing skills disappointed me way more than his shaky legs. He looked awful and barely any better than the bums Wlad fought lately.
It's appears that this was, in fact, the correct verdict.:thumbsup Before the fight, it was questionable. Now the question has been answered. Pure china.:yep
