    :rofl

    Again :rofl

You going to go tell Joe he's making a stupid claim? He's only trained athletes in just about every sport there is (including boxing) but of course you know better.

He also advocates heavy lifting for a boxer!!!!! OMG!!!!

That's known as a boxing glove. Poor attempt.

You understand what strength training is? 1lb is not strength training.

you understand KG? .5 kg is 1.1 lb.

you understand the word endurance in the thread title?

your stupid claim you made has nothing to do with what you quoted when you made the claim, and yes it was your claim as joe makes the claim about strength training where as your claim was twords shadow boxing with light weights.

The issue sounds like a few issues.

First, your jab needs a little more conditioning. Easy enough. Just put in rounds on the heavy bag, shadow boxing, and...

Second, what are you throwing AFTER the jab? If he knows that all he has to worry about is the jab then sure he is going to wait you out. If you are "just jabbing" it is just a matter of time.

Third, and most subtle... Is your jab just "there being annoying" or a "weapon"? Throwing a jab is one thing. Sure it slows a guy down, but it doesn't effect him mentally. Especially infighters/swarmers. Sending a laser guided rocket right into a guys eyes and mouth efficiently, effectively, and repeatedly? Changes things. Make sure you are putting just as many rounds in on the double end bag perfecting ACCURACY as you are endurance.

I think this is good advice. One thing I notice with folks is there endurance is endless on a bag or focus mitts, but they gas within two rounds in sparring. TENSION will exhaust you. Are you holding your hands constantly tight, tensing when throwing your punches, breathing, etc? If you have endless work rate on bags, mitts, etc. but just get exhausted sparring, you may want to look at this very overlooked factor. If this is not it, then just repetition on bags.

Stretch, the shoulder upper back chest and neck. People dont do enougth of it. As a rule because of impact the muscles which support the upper back tighten causing the message system from the 4th and 5th upper vertabrae to stop working as they should. Causing bad mechanics, without stretching the muscles, the pathways decrease in function.

3 mins on the bag throwing single jabs with your lead hand followed by a one min break and 3 mins on the bag throwing single jabs with your back hand. take a one break and then throw one one-two jab combinations. this will improve the endurance of your jab?

do you have any other endurance problems?
