Punch Mitts...when did they start using them?

I wish i could see that picture sounds interesting

 

i remember it was in a article in one of the boxing mags of the late 90s, but i dont remember which..Ring..boxing illustrated? i use to buy them sometimes at the supermartket. Anyhow, it also had a picture of dempsey hitting what looked like heavybag dummy...

 

Oh i've seen the dummy i think it was at his training camp at the beach
