All these results are meaningless unless every boxer uses the same machines and testing conditions and methodology. There's also the fact that everyone is different and this applies to boxers too. Most boxers achieve maximum power through rotational power through the hips whilst others (like Julian Jackson) were able to KO people merely by using the snap through the shoulders.

Even if the testing conditions and methodology was uniform this wouldn't prove much.

Many of the best athletes in all sports will ALWAYS far outshine their "gym" or "test" performances when they are actually competing in the theatre of battle.

Marciano was tested on a punching machine. They concluded that Marciano could punch 1000 pounds 1 foot into the air. A fridge weighs 200 pounds, technically Marciano could punch a fridge 5 feet through the air.

Wlad's power in the gym is legendary The manager of Cory Spinks who used to post way back in the 1990's in Honest Howie's said when Wlad opens up, he generates more power than anyone he has seen including Tyson or Lewis.

One day I hope to see him spar for myself.

It's interesting to a degree but punching a static piece of machinery doesn't have much bearing in a fight. The score one produces does not translate into success and the effectiveness of a punch is another thing again which depends upon velocity and timing.

    A killjoy, I know.
