Only partly true, because if you bring Marquez up to fight Pacman at 145lbs or more like PBF did, Manny would most likely beat him silly too....

    Different weights...different outcomes...it's a boxing reality...

Joe did not break Bhop down, though did he? My point is this is that Manny's fans expect him to break him down and KO him. Manny will be discouraged when he finds how hard it is to hit Floyd...and further discouraged to find out how all the people around him lied when Floyd gets to poppin his with razor sharp counters.

And Pacquiao would be a runner ???.....Next fight...., wasn't right that fight..., 7-8 years ago, some could claim Castillo had an off night that night, etc..........

We can distort figures all day long and find things to back up our claims rather easily if that's all we really want to do...

All I'm saying is it's been done before and CAN be done again...

Will it ? That's another story and can be seriously debatable
    both ways !:thumbsup

Really, Tim Bradley's last fight he went to plan b...he started of fighting...Peterson caught him with some nice body shots, and he began to box more...sticking and moving. Manny won't do that though cause he's naturally a fighter who bangs.

    Thanks for answering Philla.
But i already had those fights in my mind.
I dont think Mayweather and Calzaghe really changed their "plan".
I feel they were still fighting like they almost always do...except that they did step it up.

    What do you think?

Wow thanks for doing the homework on this... I mentioned before how JMM had a way of getting Pac to drop his output and box with him and the numbers are there. Most people said in response that JMM was different than PBF and threw more combos which is true but I still feel PBF can get Pac to drop his output which is what he wants to do.

This fight is very likely going to a decision and I think Pac's best chance is a high work rate but I expect PBF to get him to slow down and be hesitant to open up and if he can do that, PBF has an easy night.

    Exactly.

Why should it? Floyd had an injured rotator cuff, which stabilizes the shoulder. Given the shoulder is an integral part of his defence, it would of been noticeably worse.

    Numbers from the rematch:

Floyd Mayweather vs Jose Luis Castillo II

    Landed: 162 - 137
    Thrown: 399 - 604
    Pecentages: 41% - 23%

Basically you could say that. I watched the Zab/PBF fight and Zab won a few opening rounds when they were both going at a slow pace and Zab was beating him to the punch on the outside. Zab was being super cautious and happy to win rounds with the fast jab. Mayweather's corner told him Zab didnt want to fight and to step it up and put pressure on him and when he did that, PBF opened up many more opportunities and his superior counter punching got him winning.

Hopkins had lost previously due to low work rate in both Taylor fights where as PBF never has lost because of this problem. I too think Pac's best chance to win the fight is work rate but I looked at the JMM fight and PBF threw 490 something punches which is more than I thought he did and he really could have won with throwing a lot less than that. I know that isnt a huge amount but it isnt a low amount either.

PBF doesnt have stamina issues and he has been in very physical fights and still looking fresh at the end so Pac does have a lot to over come.

I think Calzaghe's plan was to swarm Kessler from angles and beat him to the punch like he usually does against his opponents but he found out that Kessler is very accurate and not as robotic as people tihnk when Kessler was able to land some pinpoint counters. Calzaghe realised though that he had a significant speed advantage so he was able to pop his jab and stick and move to stay out of range, something that threw KEssler off. Tahts not Calzaghe's usual fighting style.

Floyd came out fighting Judah in a more defensive mode, waiting for Judah to lead on offense and then picking apart his holes like Floyd does to all of his opponents. Judah himself came out boxing behind his jab and fighitng outside of Floyd's range, then using his speed to throw power shots and get back out before Floyd could find the time to counter. Roger at some point told Floyd to get on Judah's ass because he didn't wanna fight. After that you could see Floyd turned on the heat and closed the gap by coming in agressively behind Judah's jab and cutting off the ring. After that Judah couldn't really find the space to get his shots off at least not without being open for a counter. So i think that was definately a plan B also
