Punch stats are subjective and 9 out of 10 are way off bc far few punches actually LAND BUT ARE SCORED...

The other thread you made on the slow mo sequences show just how many Povetkin shots did not land but during commentary were wowing everyone...Joshua was in complete control even losing a few rounds that was evident to anyone who knows whats going on in the ring.

I had it even going into rnd 7 but haventy done the punch count yet where I score the fight separate..counting each punches.

    Exactly.

But the thing was---when was the last time you saw Povetkin missing that many punches? He missed a ton of his hooks and right hands. He's usually deadly with that stuff. And he hits torso anyway--which does count for something. Against Joshua, it was air. Not shoulders or forearms or anything or deflected. He was swinging and missing and catching air. I actually thought going in he'd land more shots because of those accurate hands of his. Talk about a bad connect %, look at Povetkin's.

But nobody is mentioning the fact he just could not land his combos on AJ.

The other big thing > that 2nd knockdown; I was glad Alex got his arms out to break the fall. Sometimes we see guys that do not manage that and their head hits the canvas. Very very bad thing to happen and I was glad to see Povetkin not having to suffer from that kind of thing.
