Thoughts? and GGG may well have to take punches like that on Sept 16.

Canelo's hand would be broken into 100 pieces and go down for the count giving GGG a KO win.

    In before the Canelo haters.

He'd go down at the very least if he got by a perfect shot with his chin in the air like that.

I think it would rattle GGG. He may stagger and lose his legs for a bit. But I think it's clear right now. Canelo Alvarez isn't going to deck Gennady Golovkin with 1 shot.

He won't do so in the fight, but IMHO that's because Golovkin tucks his chin in very well.

If you look at the Khan knock-out, Khan is just standing there, chin high and in the air, at the perfect punching range for Canelo. I doubt any MW can take a punch like that without going down.

Stevens caught GGG flush on the chin and it made GGG's leg do a dance. Canelo and Stevens have similar power at 160, I'd say.

So can he one punch KO him? Probably not. Hurt him? Yeah, I'd say so.

Unfortunately for Canelo he won't be able to get past Golovkin's elite jab.

This. And what's worse is that Canelo was setting up for that shot for 5 rounds and Khan and his corner seemed to have no idea it was coming.

Algieri badly buckled Khan with the same punch, that says a whole more about how bad Khan's chin is than it does about Canelo's power. GGG has nothing to be afraid of, Canelo is about the only elite guy that didn't badly buckle Cotto, that tells the real story of Canelo's "power".

Canelo only starches laughably glass chinned fighters like Kirkland and Khan....

Why do people believe that Canelo has power? This guy has average power for a top level MW. Actually most of the top MW's hit harder than he does. Who are the top 5 MW's right now? Canelo, GGG, Jacobs, Lemiuex, Derevyanchenko??? Canelo has the worst power any top MW IMO.
