tired of ppl saying floyd only did that cause he was intentionally headbutted.
two wrongs dont make a right.

It was a legal blow and if floyd fights like that then so be it. I just can't stand people justifying it by saying it was cause of ortiz. :verysad

That needs to be asked of you.

If a ref says "Let's Go!" you GO! If you get hit with a left hook you... start moving your head and get your hands up. Ortiz was just overwhelmed. He was getting his can kicked, fouled, then felt horrible for it. It got him knocked out.

As soon as you get off of hating FMJ and stop trying to turn this on him? You will see the truth.

Tired? You are missing the point then.

FMJ did that because he NEVER sits around glove tapping after breaks. He has punched MANY guys for goofing off after a break, Gatti, Mosley, and now Ortiz. If his camp watched tape they should have known it. So there was never a "wrong" other than not being ready after a ref called time in and not protecting yourself at all times.

So be it. So it has been. Why was Ortiz not prepared? Mayweahter seemed to be extra crafty and vicious against Ortiz due to the butt, however this is well within Mayweather's "reaction range".

yes ortiz is a champion who went life and death against berto. there's a reason why he is a 1-7 underdog and floyd picked him upon his return. floyd can rematch ortiz for all i care but this would be another GBP-WWE event. floyd should really be fighitng pacquiao next after this tune-up.

Agreed. When Ortiz came in for his final hug (overkill btw) Mayweather's hands were up and he he basically awknowledged to Victim Ortiz that enough was enough. Protect yourself at all times.

No. you are missing the point. You are still doing exactly what Ive been saying you were. Like i said before it was a legal blow. I have nothing against it.

But here you are post after post trying to justify what floyd was thinking and why he did it as if he did something wrong and blaming it on others. capisce?

I agree mayweather was unsportsmanlike, although Victor hitting him with the headbutt can hurt big time. I remember Marvin Hagler when he fought Mustafa Hamsho in 1984. Hamsho did even more blantant headbutting than the one by Ortiz and he did it maybe two times. Hamsho actually lept in the air into Marvin. Marvin was furious. Marvin did a little motion to Hamsho and a stepping motion like saying he was pissed off, and Marvin went and stopped Hamsho seconds later. I just remember how Marvin got headbutted and went for broke and literally stopped Hamsho in about a minute or even less. Round 3 of the rematch.

Ortiz wants to be world class and he is that naive biggest fight of his life and he is that dumb, i'm disappointed that fight wasnt longer, because Floyd was looking good i think it would be tko win for Floyd cause Ortiz was really eating those right hands!! And Mayweather raised his hand in a guard and Ortiz didnt protect him self serious stupidity he is to green for veterans of this sport...

    dishonorable?
Headbutting out of frustration is dishonorable...

Touching gloves & making eye contact in acknowledgement is honorable. Waiting for the ref to instruct you to defend your dumb self is stupid...

You expect Mayweather to tell Ortiz to put his guard up first before he punches him? Not sure what planet of utopia you come from....

Ortiz made a noob mistake. Even worse, after making a blatant foul, he let his guard down and try to act sporting....
Thats like smacking a snake upside its head and then expecting it not to bite you as you attempt to kiss it. What was different is what Ortiz did was illegal. What Mayweather did was legal..... and well justified.
