How do you rate these guys' power at their weights?

    Ike Williams
    Ezzard Charles
    Evander Holyfield
    Sugar Ramos
    Antonio Avelar
    Pipino Cuevas
    Ruben Carter
    Alfonso Zamora

All of them KOED tough and excellent fighters but didn't have the highest percentagez. How do you rate em. One for each wieght.

Holyfield had good, solid power but wasn`t a one shot KO artist unless he hit a fighter with a weak jaw.

Ike Williams is the #1 punching LW imo. The guy iron out granite jaws like Beau Jack, Bob Montgomery and dropping Joyce and Gavilán. If it didn't happen, I wouldn't believe it could. Ike's power was nuts.

I honestly believe when Charles sat down on what he threw he hit every bit as hard as Moore or Foster. You don't ice the likes of Moore, Bivins, Marshall and what he did to granite chinned Baroudi without it. What he did to Satterfield was a memorising punch, which still makes me stutter every time. Honestly that offence was like a cheat code. He didn't often use it but when he let it out he absolutely pieced people. He stopped using it after Baroudi and Valentino

I'm quite firm in believing Holyfield hit every bit as hard as Marciano and Dempsey when he landed flush. Stopping/rocking/dropping tough guys like Bowe, Mercer, Old Foreman, Cooper, Douglas ect., and then to a lesser degree guys like Pinky, Tillis, Qawi, Czyz, DeLeon, Ocasio and others. Real power. I reckon Holy was probably a bigger hitter than those two I mentioned.

Ramos is top 5 imo. After Saddler, Little Red, McGovern and Arguello.

Avelar was a bad man. Probably top 5? Definitely below Wilde and probably Pacquiao too. From there it's anyone's guess.

Cuevas was probably 3rd at 147. After Robi and Hearns. Tito could be argued above him I guess.

Carter always took to me as the McClellan of his era. Stopping Griffith like that is truly impressive, the guy was a monster puncher. Definitely top 10 at 160, maybe top 5. I think Jackson, McClellan, Fitz and Langford hit harder no question, he can be thrown in anywhere from there imo.

Zamora was a little bomber too. I'd say he could match Jofre for one on one punch power, just a notch below Olivares and Zárate though.

Yeah those guys were killers. How about Ike though? I thought he was the best on here. 10/10.

I think Ike was the best on here but how you describe Charles is awesome. Like a reluctant terminator. I thought he was an excellent puncher at light heavy snd had showings of power at heavy but I never thought about how Baroudi could've messed with him.

Totally agree on Avelar and Zamora. I think they're both like the mini versions of Cuevas both better obviously.

Is he. I wouldn't even have him top 3

    Ike
    Avelar
    Carter

Zamora was a colossal puncher too.

Carter wiping Griffith's teeth off the floor in 1 and dropping stone jawed Rodriguez is more than anything Pipino did. And you didn't mention anything about Ike or Avelar. What about those 2?

Agree on Holy to a degree but putting Mercer down is no small feat.
