Corrie Sanders/Wlad. I know they only fought once, but you got the idea from the first one.

    Yeah no harm meant.

I can just pop into a thread on Classic and know what the first post is going to be. I've been here long enough posting + lurking time that I've seen every thread and know what to expect.

Eubank was clearly too small at Cruiser Russell.Decent call though, as overall eubank was certainly the better fighter and looked sharper than he had in years in their first fight.

    Fulgencio Obemeijas vs Chong-Pal Park

They only fought once but Don Lee vs Sibson would fit imo.

Antonio Avelar beat a fair number of greater overall talents because of his huge punching power at Fly and Bantam(Tae-shik kim, Alfonso Lopez, Oguma, wilfredo Vasquez), but i cant think of any he had a series with unfortunately.

I agree completely, Eubank was certainly motivated and didn't come in too far from the Cruiser limit for some of his lower weight fights, hence I don't give him zero credit, say what I give Pac for beating Hoya.

Why not? Pep was clearly past his prime when he fought Saddler. Beat Saddler by clear decision once, and clearly outboxed him in fights 3 and 4(before illegal tactics caused Pep to quit on his stool in controversial endings)...Pep was more dominant and consistent in his prime, has a far superior record against common opposition, and h2h is possibly the greatest pure boxer of all time at his best. Saddler, while an ATG and one of the best, does have more chinnkss in his armor than Pep.

Pep just didn't dominate a series with anybody as good as Pep. Saddler did.

    1. Pep was clearly past his prime when he fought Saddler, coming off horrific injuries in a tragic plane crash. He still managed a clear win against Saddler, and was well ahead on the cards in fights 3 and 4. I believe if you take the pre plane crash Willie Pep vs Saddler, the result of the 2nd fight happens every time, with the scorecards perhaps being even wider. I mean Saddler held a great stylistic advantage over Pep, enhanced even further by Pep's diminished abilities/reflexes. The fact that Pep still managed a victory over Saddler proved his all time greatness by the highest measures.

    2. Humberto Sierra, Phil Terranova, Paddy Demarco, Jock Leslie. What do these men have in common? All managed a victory over Sandy Saddler. All were dominated by Willie Pep.

This sounds oddly like a Vitali fans reasoning...
