Matthysse golovkin kovalev Stevenson We have some bangers in town Not new names to hardcore fans but they have exploded onto the scene for real now,3 hold belts and all carry serious power So who is the real deal out the above four, will any get exposed by a boxer any time soon And who is the p4p biggest puncher in the world today There are some real punchers active today the likes of wladimir klitschko,David haye, nonito donaire, manny pacquiao,Danny garcia,James Kirkland, marcos maidana, alfredo angulo, david lemieux or is it someone else A good time to be a boxing fan I think
I think Matthysse is the p4p biggest puncher, even his glancing blows are putting people away. I think Golovkin is the real deal out of the four due to his serious amateur pedigree, and his chin of seemingly cast iron. That said I really haven't seen or heard much of Kovalev. What's his story? Good amateur or what?
I agree that golovkin has the skills to back up his power so is the standout but his level of opponents haven't been as strong and rosado although well beaten stayed on his feet Macklin will be the first acid test for him,I'm sure his power will transfer to the higher level but we have seen the likes of Lucian bute steamroller lesser opponents and he had the same mix of amateur pedigree and raw power But matthysse and Stevenson seem to have rare power Also don't write off Danny Garcia he has developed into a good physical specimen and showed khan and morales what he is capable of Golovkin macklin Garcia matthysse Kovalev/Stevenson Hopkins These will tell us what they are capable of in competitive fights, that's where the best prove themselves If I was guessing I think golovkin and matthysse are the real deal
Does anybody know anything about William Fernando Souza Bezerra. Hes a Cruiserweight from Brazil with a record of 34 wins zero losses and 33 knockouts!
Yeah I don't know how he carries so much power like you said heavy hands A big power puncher normally is aided by great leverage and balance but be doesn't possess either Juanma Lopez is another big puncher, lebedev can bang although jones took his best Also unpopular to say if but Adrien broner plants his feet and generates one punch power
Matthysse for me raw power P4P the hardest hitter in the world. Golovkin extremely hurtful also Macklin is as brave as they come think he will be stopped hope he isn't too brave for his own good.Golovkin really finishes opponents off well when he has them going.
Sergio Martinez about 2/3 years ago was a deadly puncher as well He has lost his way slightly but those argies all know how to finish someone Maidana matthysse martinez
Martinez has never been a 'deadly' puncher. He scored a vicious KO over Paul Williams if that's what your going off, but he's not and never has been a massive KO artist.
I don't agree Yes the Williams knock out was spectacular but what made Darren barker so cagey against Martinez then,he spent 11 rounds covered up and stilled got knocked out Against macklin,Matthew had some success and Sergio was off his game but he still battered him into a bloody mess He threw his shots with low hands and shifted his body weight to use all the available leverage.he may not of been naturally heavy handed but his fantastic technique made his shots hard to read and venomous.it would be interesting to hear opponents opinions on his punching power but isn't why Martin Murray was so cautious to start with due to fear of being bombed out.if he wasn't concerned then why did he give the rounds away Sergio Martinez was a big puncher
Fair enough but I disagree. He definitely has a lot of pop, but isn't someone I'd say is a huge puncher.
