I only said he was a deadly puncher not an ATG There is plenty of evidence to back up how dangerous he could be near the end of his career
Deadly Punchers are guys like Julian Jackson, who would have got Chavez out of there. Martinez just punches hard.
I see what people are saying but I would class a deadly puncher as someone who can knock you down or out at any time of the fight if you lapse in concentration Martinez for me is definately in that category Julian Jackson was a freak of nature as it seems possibly Lucas matthysse is Also before my time but foreman and shavers were huge punchers again we are talking rare power here This is the elite when it comes to one punch knockout artists I understand that and wouldn't put Sergio with those of course but he is a freat example of how technique and athletic ability can make you extremely dangerous but my original point still stands which is there must be something in the water in Argentina
Whatever it is, long may it continue. Nothing more soul destroying than watching two blokes trying their hardest but doing little more than giving the opponent a massage.
lucas definatly, golokin is but he can outbox opponents too which usually makes the knockouts look more spectacular when his opposition is tiring, danny garcia and adonis stevenson and marcos maidana can all be outboxed without being able to hit that massiva shot so id say matthyse without a doubt.
WAS..... definatly on the decline now, chavez jnr almost had him out of there and murray deserved the win imo.
Yes I think he should retire Despite as you said declining 4 of his last 5 wins were against men with long unbeaten records he schooled his then nearest rival Chavez jnr and then had a swansong at home in front of 40-50 thousand, perfect way to finish He has been a credit to the sport willing to fight anyone anywhere coming up The hard way and being an outstanding middleweight champion despite being heavily outweighed on fight night by the likes of Chavez and murray I think he should retire but I will remember him as an exciting offensive fighter who mixed it with pavlik Williams margarito Chavez jnr and our own 3 middleweights Also I don't think he is overrated I think he is judged about right for his achievements
Regardless of the final round I will always remember the lesson he gave Chavez it was a privilege to watch.
Golovkin is the hardest P4P puncher imo. Just walks through everyone and stalks them until he breaks them down. Think the Macklin fight is going to be incredible.
Yeah some great stuff next 2 weeks macklin golovkin, malignaggi broner,Gavin vassel,Rees crolla then price Thompson coming up I'm hoping for a ko in That
