Case in point, for years I never gave George Foreman his proper credit for winning that fight against Michael Moorer as I was SURE he took a dive of some sort......About a year before the Legendary Night piece, I watched the fight for nostalgic reasons, and I FINALLY realized that one punch totally split Michael Moorer's mouth and he was concussed. Then when I saw the referee stating he could have cared less for George and was worried about Michael Moorer's health, it finally hit that DAMN George really ****ed him up with that shot... So George, I apoligize:scaredas: Hopefully in 10 years I can "see" the legitimacy in BHOP's "liver shot" of DLHatsch
I've watched this in disbelief too - George must've been one powerful SOB he used to level people with no hip movement of turning the fist or pivoting just a flatfooted club to the chin. I agree, for a long time the Moorer KO seemed staged but Foreman was possibly the hardest puncher in history.
VERY slow, coupled with the fact that he had virtually lost ALL the rounds leading up to that punch........Unbelievable.
Man, when I watch that liver shot now I know DLH is down and hurt! There is no way he is not. The funniest part is the guy fanning Oscar's balls by pulling his trunks up and down. :rofl How much does that guy get paid to be Oscar's ball fanner?
