What film of McVey ,a couple of seconds? That wasn't Pollack's quote by the way McVey ko'd Martin with a right hand,he also ko'd Russel with a right. Ive told you once, I posted this thread for general interest, not for you to climb on your hobby horse to spout a lot of agenda driven **** ,so **** off, nobody wants to read anymore of your hate posts!
A couple of seconds? LOL. Try several minutes of footage. Again, you don't know the context of what you are talking about. That's clear as day any time I choose to reply and correct you. Please watch the films. Here let me give you a bit more than a couple of seconds on Sam McVey. This content is protected I've seen you hate Jeffries 100X and question his power multiple times. You've done the same for Marciano saying he lacked one punch power. This post contradicts yourself on Jeffries. Like I said I have moved on from that so obvious point and am following this thread for more data. Judging by the amount of likes I get when I post, people enjoy my posts. Only two mistakes here from you, par for the course.
The whole clip is 3.58, how much of it is of them actually fighting? Nope I questioned Jeffries power at top level and I still do.If men 12 years older and 40/50lbs lighter are going extended rounds with you ,you are not a top level puncher imo. I also didn't say Marciano lacked one punch power I said he generally was an attrition puncher. If you can find a post of mine that says to the contrary I challenge you to post it! Apart from turning a decent thread into another hate feast you've also been corrected on several points. You can neither read or write to even 5th grade standard. You and your tag partner the absurd Rasta Ghooly make a fine couple, two thickos, with but one thought, to propound their own ridiculous agendas.
I will start by saying that I am not a big fan of punching machines. You honestly don't know if you are comparing like for like between eras. Having said that, if they can be relied upon, then they would be a big boost for the early fighters. If Jim Jeffries really was hitting as hard as Frank Bruno give or take, then that tide raises all ships in his era!
I'd agree I never intended the results I showed to be taken as definitive, they were just posted for interest.
It would be great if everyone was measured accurately & we could compare confidently. But there are a few factors that mean in real life the testing is way under definitive or reliable. To wit: 1) Are we sure all the machines are even accurate? And assuming many are consistent whenever tested, that does not mean that they match all the others. Would you wager tat 1000 PSI is always, or even usually, exactly the same thing between machines & over endless decades? I would not. 2) Are we sure that everyone tested both had the same amount of fair shots at approximating their best, & did they try their hardest? If one guy hits it once or twice, another often over a few times...He is likely to more closely approximate his maiximum potential. 3) Did they always use the punch & technique that would mximize their scores? There is an example on yotive of a dude being teasted because a woman boxer beat his score. But he was nasically jabbing, throwing a straight right, whole she wound up with the "****ry fair" approach. Hell one guy could do it running up, & like measuring a ball thron while running,e ven against a picther winding up on a mound-he would do better than he could without a run up. Also, the way the machine is constructed, does it not disciminate against those whose best punch is not the overhand right, but the hook, uppercut, or5 some varant of "The Smash". For obbious reasons related to height & angle of the blows. 4) Real life examples that are dubious. Yeah sometimes a smaller guy will do better than many larger boxers, but it is the exception. Even a Julian Jackson would not hit hard for a modern day HW, let alone the boggest bangers. Look on youtube for the testing of Chris Byrd. There was a thread about it on a boxing website of a frend of mine. I believe that his score beat evrery number reported in this thread. Except for the vague mamory of Shavers... Does anyone hear believe that Chris Byrd could hit harder than everyone reported on this thread?
People who believe in these things have little grasp of scientific rigor as far as conditions of an experiment. Way too many variables, way too little consistency.
I don't know if they're accurate or not but all i can say is I'm consistently fcuking amazing on them, better than AJ going by his TV appearance.
