One more thing. If Larry was more talented at possessing punching power, then he would've been the most ferocious puncher in history. Just look at how MAD Holmes is whenever he's in there. Watch the final round of Holmes-Snipes. Every punch carries that weight the giant chip on his shoulder. For every punch he throws, you can see he's letting that "I made $60 in my pro debut and Don King is trying to rob me!" attitude. I've seen known ferocious sluggers like Tyson and Liston get discouraged at times, and quit. I've NEVER seen Holmes punch with anything less than the utmost desire to hurt his opponent. Even at 50 years of age, literally a grandfather, he was pecking that jab and throwing the hardest right hands he could at Butterbean, in a pace that suited his body.

A few years ago Larry was hitting the heavybag next to the one I was hitting. A single jab would send the bag flying all over the place and leave a large welt in it. It was not a light bag either, the bag was the heaviest one in the gym, I think it was around 120-125lbs. He didn't throw the right hand too much because it is visibly damaged from breaking it in his fights with Roy Williams and the rematch with Michael Spinks. But the jabs he hit the bag with were more powerful than any punch I've seen people who were bigger in the gym hit the bags with. Keep in mind this is a Holmes was nearly 60 at the time.

I think Lennox had more power but Larry was a far superior ring general than Lennox giving Larry the edge if this fight were to ever happen.

Lewis hurt Vitali ... McCall he never really tagged flush . When Oliver was freaking out Lennox was not committing to anything ... Mavrovic took an unbelievable punch but then again Lennoz partially retired him ... he never fought again ..
