Breaking blood vessels = bruised

I'd go with the Suzie Q as the biggest punch, but I certainly don't want to taste a Fraziers Hooooooooooooooooooooooook

If Frazier had hit as hard as Marciano, he would have been almost unbeatable.

Rocky broke bones and blood vessels...smashed Lee Savold's teeth into his gums....sheared Rex Layne's teeth off at the nubs...almost killed Carmine Vingo....came out of his coma and never fought again...Roland LaStarza had broken vessels in his arms along with bones chips from Marciano's assault..he had surgery to remove blood clots that formed in his arms....The Rock ruined some fighters..and it took some months to get over a beating administered by Marciano...

Not exactly (I think it was a left hook) but illustrates my point perfectly.
    Beautiful photo. :thumbsup

Frazier would benefit more from a chin like Holy, than from a power-boost.

Marciano-LaStarza II, near the end. That's a photograph of the punch Rocky knocked him down through the ropes with. Roland did well to get up at Ruby Goldstein's count of five. Referee Goldstein called a halt after Marciano unloaded 15 more unanswered shots following the knockdown.

Not just frazier hits harder but he was better overall. He was naturally 20 pounds bigger in thicker frame, stronger,he was much faster in feet and he has faster hands, his chin was tested against much bigger punchers and Joe never got hurt by men who weighed under 200 pounds, rocky was, frazier was much harder to outbox ,he was a better pressure fighter, better inside fighter and better body puncher, better move of head
.the left hook that frazier landed on ali un 1971 was harder shot han the suzie Q that marciano landed on walcott my eyes don lie me.simply ali has iron chin and walcott was chini

Bob Foster weighed about the same as most of Marciano's title defendants and Frazier KO'd him no problem at all.

    Rocky certainly hits harder p4p.

In real terms Rocky was 20 pounds lighter so I'm not sure if his raw power is enough to overcome that size disparity.

Did anyone face them both? Ali had that "fight" with Rocky so he might have held an opinion about this power matchup.

I would say Rocky overall but tentatively, I mean I don't think there's a single man Rocky knocked out that Frazier wouldn't also knock out and vice versa so it's largely irrelevant anyways. If one man puts them down for 30 and one man puts them down for 10 it makes no difference.

Left hooks: Frazier has slight edge, although Louis said Rocky's left hook was one of the hardest he ever experienced; Right hands: no comparison here, SuzyQ wins hands down; frazier's left hook verses SuzyQ: SuzyQ by an edge. Joe did have faster hands though.

Good point about the hype around the ''broken blood vessels.'' Marciano hit Don ****ell with everything, including flush foul punches, and couldn't keep him down for the count.

Marciano. We can debate their left hooks but Marcianos right is eons better than anything Joe throws.
