Punchstats: Calzaghe lands 232 punches on Hopkins....GET REAL!!

Joe won the fight clearly! End of the story and no more controversies.

I gave Hopkins 1 round in that fight.

The fight was not controversial at all.

 

I scored it for hopkins.I dont know what the judges were seeing here.

 

Calzaghe won clearly despite Hopkin's having been given all the advantages: [apart from boxing ability that is!]

1) Home advantage
2) Rent-a-ref Cortez
3) Black-biased judge Byrd
4) Gifted bogus knockdown
5)Faking low-blows to get his breath back
[Cortez allowing him 2 minutes on the first one!]
6) Allowed to hold on like a limpet to a rock against a fighter who on fight
night he probably outweighed by a Stone or more

 

Calzaghe won, lots of sour grapes in this thread and those slaps must have some effect since his opponents would cover up.

 

Hopkins won rounds 1 - 4

Calzaghe wom rounds 5 - 12

90% of the clean hard punches in that fight came from Hopkins, but they became fewer and far between as the fight went on and Calzaghe started increasing his workrate.



God that fight sucked ass, i invited freinds over for that one to.

 

LOL how was that a bogus gifted knockdown? The punch landed square on Calzaghes nose and his legs gave out. You can even see the cut on Joe's nose right after it happened.
