It seems that what you're describing would provide an opportunity for an insurance company to step in and sell these guys annuities, which would do just that. Good salesmanship and education about it could get alot of the fighters on board without necessarily needing an outside organization as the middleman.

This service is already available to them. It would, however, be a lot better if the organisations contributed to the funds much like employers do.
Think the ones that aren't, sadly, are the exception to the rule. Get hit in the head long enough -- amateur or pro -- sooner or later you pay the price. A guy can be lucid and articulate in his 30s 'n 40s, 'n gradually the bill comes due. As far as being broke, most pros grew up gym rats, not Phi Beta Kappas.

terry actually has some dough...he did win that lawsuit against don king for a good amount....he's not punch drunk severely like on the outside he looks and walks normally and doesn't have that dull look in his eyes but ive seen 2 clips of him post boxing speechwise he is definitely slurring though
Aaron pryor has been through hell and back. Don't know if its drugs or punch dementia or both. I heard he has a modest middle class lifestyle and is sober so that's good.
