Pundits/commentators

Jim Watt is an interesting case. He is so inconsistent and can go from one perfectly good commentary to an awful one the next time. This usually happens when one of his favourites is fighting or he picks a fighter from the start which then colours his own commentary for the whole fight. In this respect his commentary for Rees-Mathhews was the worst I've heard in recent times. In fact I couldn't believe what he was saying at times:

"Even in the parts Matthews is losing he's impressing me" .

Can't say I'm a massive fan of Halling but at least he does speak his mind and he did try and beat back Watt when Watt was starting to do get up to his old tricks during the Matthews-Crolla rematch the other week.

McCrory is inconsistent a a pundit too but don't mind him.

Piper usually talks sense although his noggin can dominate a screen particularly if you're watching on a 42" or larger.

Nelson I actually don't mind as a pundit even if he talks nonsense at times as he's something a bit different. He just isn't a presenter; although this seems to have been turned into some kind of cult selling point with Ringside.

Somebody they should get back though and who is better than all of them put together judging by his outing on the Frampton-Martinez fight is Bernard Dunne.

He's shite and seriously, the only commentator ive came close to muting, cant read a fight to save his life.

 

Troll number 2.Unless its scripted,he's a witty lad.Come out with some funny stuff with Bunce.Dont think he's a bad commentator,especially as he's new to the job.Weve all got our opinions.Bloke in a pub once told me Jim Watt knew **** all about boxing.

 

He has the right face for commentary, just not the voice.

 

Adam Smith is a complete burk, I find it hard to watch someone when you know they have children locked away in a basemet.

haha hes cheesy ******* always banging on about the noble art or another similar style cliche while pulling a soppy face like hes got a butt plug on the go thats causing him a bit of grief. and the staring into nelsons eyes makes me feel uneasy

the old school sky team is still the best paul dempsey presenting, darke and watt doin the commentary

they should be brought back

dempsey seems to have re invented himself as abit of a troll in his last few outings giving hatton and haye a grilling.

darke can keep an eye on watt and keep him in check as he steadily slides into senilty

 

I think richie woodhall is the best uk based commentator, he knows what hes talking about. richard keys clearly isnt a boxing fan he is clueless.

 

I really like Barry Jones, find him quite refreshing actually especially on Bunceys podcast

 

Paul Smith is a good commentator but he needs to stay away from twitter. He was kicking of with someone from deseprate scousewifes FFS. Jaiden I think his name was.

 

Woodhall would do your head in at times though. Bull**** like 'he needs the get into the en guard position'.

Ian Darke is very goodas he gives off that big fight feeling. Watt can be good but can be utter dog**** at times. I like Barry Jones and Paul Smith aint bad for an annoying ****.

Paulie Malignaggi is very good with Showtime.
