TBH fighters have bad nights, Jones and Lynes are different fighters and Purdy as Rob says has stepped up. Maybe needed that loss, i think he fell in love with power but right now i've heard he's improving so much in gym technically. Barnstormer of a fight either way, Purdy will go down fighting either way..
Purdy will always have trouble with boxers, he's in his comfort zone against brawlers, Jones will come straight at him.
That's true, but Jones is so much better at pressure fighting than Purdy. Are Amar and Johnson really anywhere near the level of Jones? Granted Carrasco is a good win, but who has Carrasco beat? Like I mentioned earlier, I like Purdy, but I think people will be surprised when they see the fight.
Purdy's always performed well bar the Lynes loss, His displays against Craig Watson was also impressive. The issue here is the strength because Jones has fought at higher weights, he's got some offensive quality obviously. Purdy's got a tough shift here but this isn't mission impossible..
Sorry mate I should have read your previous post. I'm just surpised at so many people giving Purdy a very good chance. Not long ago he lost at British level, Jones just lost at world level.
