IBF is ordering a purse bid for mandatory positioning. But Dominic may have an inside line to be Wilders next defense, in which case why bother going for IBF mandatory. It's too bad, really, I'd be much more interested in a Dom v Pulev fight. I'd pick Pulev but Dom would be a very live underdog. Do you think it happens? Who would you pick if it does. If not, will the IBF just elevate Pulev without another credible win? Or if they make him earn it, who will they choose?
Although, even as I was posting this thread, I thought to myself, Dom could make at LEAST 5 times as much enforcing a mandatory against AJ as he could in a voluntary defense against Wilder. If he had any confidence at all against Pulev (which itself could probably net him a healthy percentage of what he'd get against Wilder), why not go that route?
I don't necessarily think he's lost ambition, its porbably just a case of how can you get excited fighting Kevin Johnson. Although the same could probably apply to fighting ***** Tits Breazeale. Pulev beat Chisora in a near shutout far easier than Whyte and Kabayel, both young lions, and he didn't even seem to get out of first gear doing so. If he hasn't faded horribly overnight, I think he can still win this with ease.
Breazele would fight Joshua again in a heartbeat. He got totally outclassed and brutally pummeled but the money
