You've used every other metric other than the most important one which is drawing money.

Whyte needs to accept that he's a pudding, and tyson is currently the king of boxing.

Am I the only one hoping Boxxer/Sky win the purse bids?

Wallin was irrelevant when his fight vs Fury drew less than 4000 fans and was irrelevant when he was Whyte's opponent.

Because there are no numbers to gauge how much money Fury draws in the UK.

Are you telling me if Fury fights Helenius that the UK will go crazy and the fight will be a huge box office hit?

I don't deny Fury is a name in the US but I wouldn't define him as a big star. He needs a dance partner and there is nothing wrong with that.

    Ok.

Fury sold like 1.5 million PPV buys in the US alone for his 3 fights with Wilder. That's like $80 per sell right? So that's like $120m for the trilogy or $40m per fight. Not including gate receipts which were record breaking I believe, or UK PPV sales which were also very high.

Meanwhile Whyte was fighting s 40 year old in Eddie Hearns back garden.

Last time I checked Fury has 1 more fight left on his ESPN contract which is a big factor.

He gained some name recognition through the Fury fight. He gave Fury hell and that was being mentioned in the build up to his non-fight with Whyte.
None of us were typing the word "Wallin" on this forum 3 years ago. Obviously he gained a degree of recognition.
He's irrelevant, certainly. But so is Oscar Rivas.

The point is, you were talking about comparisons. Whyte v Wallin was very likely scrapped largely due to it not selling tickets, in Whyte's hometown. Surely that's worth comparing.
Perhaps Wallin is just box office poison. Which is a shame because I'd quite like to see him fight, still he's mostly untested.

The point is that Whyte buyers are a subset of Fury buyers. He doesn't bring any customers of his own. Everybody in the UK knows who Fury is, very few know Whyte. Chisora is a bigger draw than Whyte.

Agreed about the PPV times which is why I said Fury is a bigger draw.

But there's no real proof Fury can sell out a stadium as he's never even come close to it, best he's done is about 20K in the O2, to suggest otherwise is purely speculation. Not many Brit fighters ever reach that level of success where they can actually attract a live crowd that big to their fights. Maybe he could sell out a smaller stadium but not Wembley and not without another fighter who's a decent draw himself.

Nothing matters except revenue. How much money they attract.
PPV buys and live attendance figures don't tell the whole story. You have to factor in the price.
Guys like Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather fought in front of a few thousand, but the tickets were expensive, and more importantly the casinos paid huge fees to stage the fights!
No one was talking about packing a stadium, just the money.

Whyte needs to know that nobody outside of the UK even cares whether this fight happens or not. Sign the papers and try to take the title or **** off.

I don't think the deal covers UK fights so it could land on DAZN in the US
